SUMMARY:The Effects of Hormone Imbalance on Facial Hair
DESCRIPTION:This presentation is intended to uncover some of the medical conditions that contribute to a male-pattern hair growth on a female. To grasp the full understanding the anatomy and physiology of the integumentary system in addition to the glands and hormone of the endocrine system is discussed. We will discuss the importance of partnering with an endocrinologist in the pursuit of eliminating or minimizing unwanted hair. Participants will understand the main causes of hair growth and the different change of life cycle it can happen in women. They will learn about the different hormonal conditions that may cause hair growth and will become familiar with the signs and symptoms to determine which client is recommend to seek further assistance in the pursuit of unwanted hair. They will walk away feeling confident in knowing conversations that will be beneficial to have with their clients.
