DESCRIPTION:This course\, presented by Anagloria Mora\, PhD\, LMHC\, CCS\, Licensed Psychotherapist and Board Certified Clinical Sexologist\, will examine and affirm the existence of gender dysphoria (GD). The following topics will be analyzed and discussed: 1) Different terminology\, their proper usage\, and their importance in the transgender community; 2) Common associated features of Gender Dysphoria; 3) Research on possible causes of Gender Dysphoria; 3) Brief Overview of the WPATH Standards of Care; 4) Barriers to sensitive care and proper etiquette delivery for the transgender client; and 5) List of resources to make available for the transgender client. \n  \n
