The International Commission for
Hair Removal Certification (ICHRC) has the distinction of presenting
valid competency-based certification examinations. Testing is provided to enhance
the professional growth of members and the Society and all allied health practitioners;
including physicians, electrologists, nurses and others authorized to practice
in the jurisdiction where they reside. Receive your certification to assure
the public that you have the knowledge and skill to provide the safest and most
effective hair removal service available. Upon successfully completing the examination,
a certificate of competency, suitable for framing, is issued bearing the coveted
seal of the commission.
The Certified Medical Electrologist (CME) designation is required by electrologists who wish to practice laser hair removal. The Certified Laser Hair Removal Professional (CLHRP®) designation is required for those wishing to practice under the "Professional" status in the state of Texas. The Certified Clinical Electrologist (CCE) designation is one of two exams recognized by the state of Tennessee as an electrology licensing exam. For more information, please contact your state regulating board, or SCMHR's Home Office.
